Mosquito Control in The Treasure Coast & Space Coast

How do we control the mosquitoes in your yard? It’s easy! We use a barrier treatment process that will cover your property front to back and eliminate 80-90% of the mosquitoes. Whether you’re looking to rid your yard of mosquitoes because you’re tired of them or you are looking to protect your family from the diseases they carry, we are happy to help. Our mosquito control product, methods, and services are the best option for Brevard County mosquito control.

Barrier Treatment

Our traditional barrier treatment is our most popular mosquito protection service and will decrease the mosquito population in your yard by 80-90% and will remain effective for up to 21 days. Mosquito Squad’s licensed technicians treat key areas of your property, eliminating adult mosquitoes on contact and providing continuous protection. In addition to controlling mosquitoes, Mosquito Squad’s barrier treatment also effectively controls adult ticks and kills them on contact.

Here is how the Mosquito Barrier Treatment works

On the day of your treatment, one of our Mosquito Squad trained and licensed technicians will arrive at your property with backpack blowers filled with water-based product. We will treat your entire yard front to back targeting the foliage surrounding your property. Foliage surrounding your home and outdoor living spaces include shrubbery around and underneath decks and patios, fences, tall grass and low hanging vegetation. We will treat areas where mosquitoes breed, feed and rest. When mosquitoes attempt to feed or rest on these treated surfaces, the residual spray will eliminate them. As you might imagine, some mosquitoes might wander into your yard and bite you before resting or feeding on a treated surface. However, you will find that the presence of mosquitoes is greatly reduced.

Traditional Mosquito Barrier Treatment

If you choose the traditional barrier treatment, our technicians will treat your property every 21 days throughout your season. By signing up for multiple months within the season, you will create continuous mosquito control for your Vero Beach property. We recommend this treatment option for those are using their outdoor spaces on a weekend basis.

Platinum Barrier Treatment

We typically recommend the platinum barrier treatment for the homeowner that spends time in their outdoor spaces on a daily basis or have a large mosquito population that is difficult to control. If you choose to sign up with the platinum barrier treatment, our technicians will treat your property every 14 days so you can experience the highest level of effectiveness eliminating 90-95% of the mosquito population in your yard.

Natural Mosquito Control

We also offer a more natural mosquito control for those who are looking for an alternative solution for mosquito control. Our all natural mosquito control is made from essential oils and is applied much the same way our traditional barrier treatment is applied. It eliminates adult mosquitoes on contact and repels 70-75% of mosquitoes for up to two weeks. Every 14 days we’ll come back to treat your property again for continuous mosquito control all season long.

Mosquito Prevention

Areas of standing water create an optimal breeding area for mosquitoes because they lay their eggs on the water surface or near the water edge. Mosquito eggs can survive under most conditions. The mosquito egg can lay dormant for FIVE YEARS. Once hatched, the eggs become mosquito larvae then full-grown mosquitoes in 7-14 days.

At Mosquito Squad we don’t want to just eliminate the mosquitoes but we want to prevent them! We use a mosquito prevention call Larvicide. Larvicide is a pelletized product which our technicians apply to areas of standing water, such as small ponds, swamps, marshes and/or flooded areas. Treatment of these breeding habitats helps reduce the adult mosquito population in nearby areas by preventing the mosquito larvae from becoming an adult mosquito.
